Flight Instructor Course

Introduction

The Flight Instructor Course is designed to provide the necessary skills in order for the prospective Instructor to achieve the required competence. 

It applies to a theoretical and practical program. Practical elements include the development of specific instructor skills, particularly in the area of teaching and assessing threat and error management and CRM.

Purpose and Goals

With the FI Course the candidates acquired the appropriate experience to become an instructor and to be able to be a member of the training force of a pilot academy.

Course Structure

Ground School: 100 hours Comprehensive theoretical instruction and 25 hours teaching and learning Course.

Flight Training: Practical flight instruction takes place in our SEP aircrafts and includes 2 hours pre-entry assessment flight and 30 hours of training on dual flight instruction and mutual flying.

Requirements

License holder: The candidate must be a holder of at least CPL SEP/IR license.

VFR and SEP hours: The candidate must have completed 20 hours of VFR cross-country flight, including 300nm and at least 30 hours on single-engine airplane of which 5hours minimum within the last 6 months.

IFR hours: The candidate must have completed 10 hours of IFR flight of which 5 hours on FNPT II.

Medical Certification: A valid Class 1 medical certificate is necessary to ensure the candidate meets the health standards for commercial pilots.

Language Proficiency: The candidate must be a holder of EASA Language Proficiency Level 4 (at least).

Duration

The course duration is 2 months

Certification and Career Path

Upon successful completion, graduates will include the FI rating in their CPL license and have the qualifications required starting their career as Flight Instructor in an Approved Training Organization.
